Embed Facebook Group Posts on a Website Using WordPress

Embed-Facebook-Group-Posts-on-a-WebsiteI searched high and low for a solution to embed Facebook group posts on a website. Why you ask? Well Facebook Groups have become a very important piece to my company’s marketing strategy and some of the threads that I have seen and been part of have massive keyword rich content. Because Facebook Groups can not be seen unless logged in, this great content is not being indexed in the search engines.  I hope you are starting to see the advantages of displaying the most recent Facebook Group posts on a website.  Not only is the SEO a driving reason, but it also will attract people back to the Facebook group from your website and request membership.  Now this concept only works for public Facebook Groups.

So I began my hunt to embed Facebook Group posts on a website and there were only 2 working methods that I found. WallFlux and Feed Them Social WordPress plugin.  The first solution I found WallFlux offers this free but is branded with their stuff and limits the amount of posts displayed.  You can upgrade but their pricing structure is in Euros and very odd.  You can pay per week or per year and they offer a direct display or an atom feed version.  The 2nd option I came across to embed Facebook Group posts on a website was a very nifty WordPress plugin called Feed Them Social.  This plugin not only allows you to embed Facebook group posts on a website but also display posts from Instgram and Twitter.  This plugin also offers a totally free solution that allows for 5 posts to be displayed.  If you want up to 24 posts displayed, it’s only a time fee of $10.
