WordPress Setup in Less Than 10 Minutes for Less Than $10

I get asked constantly how to go about setting up WordPress.org.  I thought it would be nice to put together a step by step walk-through on how you can get your WordPress website or Blog setup in 10 minutes or less for less than $10.  Follow the steps below that will guide you from start to finish and have you up and running in no time at all.

Step #1

4 minutes

Setup your hosting account for $9.95 which will give you a year’s worth of premium WordPress hosting and  other extras (cost after the first year is $9/month).  The link below will take you to this limited time only special.

Just on a side note, I have been using this company for over 4 years and have found it to be the highest quality of hosting I have experienced. We all have our hosting favorites, but I strongly recommend this company.

Follow the steps for creating your hosting account and you will receive a confirmation email with accounts details.

Step #2

3 minutes

Log into your newly created hosting account by CLICKING HERE.  Once you are logged in click on “My Account” and then click on “Go” under the Cpanel column.  See image below for more details.

On the next screen click Access Cpanel normally.

Once you are inside the Cpanel, scroll down and look for the area that says Software/Services.  In this area click on the Smiley Face called Fantastico.  See image below.

Step #3

2 minutes

After the Fantastico screen loads, click on WordPress on the left hand side.

Then click on New Installation.

Fill out the information in the WordPress install form.  Record your administrator user name and password to be used to log into your WordPress administrative area.  See image below.

A new screen will load confirming the directory you wish to install WordPress on and you need to click the “Finish Installation” button.

Now you are ready to visit your website.  To access the administrative area visit http://YOUR_DOMAIN/wp-admin and log in with your username and password created above.
